IMPORTANCE OF PHILIPPINE LITERATURE

Whatever nationality you are, it always very important to study the literature of your country. In doing so you are not only learning about historical aspects of your land but you are also keeping alive the thoughts, beliefs and cultural variations of your ancestors that differentiate your country from the rest of the world. We need to study the literature because by this, we can preserve the literature we have today. If no would introduce or explain it to the coming generations, then it would not in the next generations. It also gives readers knowledge of the country and its culture and traditions.

Studying Philippine literature is important for the same reason that studying any national literature is important. Nationalist literature preserves national opinion and thought within its text and can transport the reader back in time and enable them to experience that world. Philippine literature includes the legends of prehistory and the colonial legacy of Philippines. It also denotes important person, places and thing that mark big the Philippine history, through the years. Philippine literature was develop and more valued by many because it inspires people and works as a guide or a map showing people how to make their lives in the right way and make the ultimate use of theme. We as a student not only as  a Education student, it awakens our mind on how Filipino before try to dwell with different languages and try to learn it in order to express their thoughts and feelings even it it breaks their own aphorism.

Literature is important in everyday life because it connects individuals with larger truths and ideas in a society. It also important in many reasons, including its ability to provide pleasure to readers, to help build experience and to develop thinking skills. Literature creates a way for people to record their thoughts and experiences in a way that is accessible to others.

Reading literature is a pleasurable, entertaining activity that offers readers the potential escape from troubles of daily life. Above all else, literature survives because of its capacity to entertain readers. Literature also has a power to provoke thoughts, in readers making it a leisure activity that is also intellectually productive.
