Reaction of the story The Dead Stars

Upon hearing the title "The Dead Stars," i know exactly that it revolves on love and when i start reading it, i can say that it is really a typical love story and it is really happening in the livs of many people in this modern society. Paz Marquez Benitez really wrote this kind of literary piece which gave us, the readers, thrill, excitements, questions and at the same time lessons. In this story, I really believe that "change is the only thing that does not change" or in short "change is constant".This love story talks about a man involves in a love triangle where the guy named Alfredo was somewhat committed with the girl named Esperanza. They were in a relationship for almost four years but unfortunately, Alfredo was being played by the game of love. Julia became the victim of love where Alfredo didn't expect that he met this girl in his life. And there it goes, Julia enjoyed the company of Alfredo, getting to know each other and have a sweet conversation with unsaid emotions and sooner they realize that they are both inlove with each other.Confusions, betrayal and change of hearts conquers Alfredo. He was faced and trapped in a situation where he need to choose between Esperanza whom he committed for so many years and Julia whom he just met and the reason of his change of hearts. He already have a second thoughts on marrying Esperanza but he finally chose to stay and stand with his promise, being loyal to his commitment and marry Esperanza that he was engaged with. At the end of the story, there's a little twist where he meet again with Julia, had a chance to talk to her and he realized that his feelings for her was gone and he was over her.

After reading the story, I really realize that love is unpredictable and human emotions are very delicate. It really give us some sort of advice and I truly understand that we should not judge the time for it has a capability of changing things including life and especially feelings.

Similarities Between Legend of the Magat River and the Biag ni Lam-ang

        

As we all know, Legend of the Magat River and the Biag of Lam-ang are two different stories in different region. The Biag ni Lam-ang is an epic poem of the Ilocano people dating from the pre-Hispanic era of the Philippines. On the other hand, Legend of the Magat River is the story of the Cagayan Region and is currently part of the Rio Grande de Cagayan.

These two literary piece has its resemblance to each other. Even though it was not written by the same author, if you read these two stories, you can spot some of the similarities. First, the male main characters are both having extraordinary strengths and fighting skills. These two heroes were great hunters and they are more on adventures and outdoor activities. Aside from the heroes, the happenings and events of the both literary piece is very fictitious, magical and unbelievable. There are scenarios that the two stories link with the river. Further more, the both female lead characters of the stories got the affection of the heroes at first sight. For the male lead characters to marry their love affections, the lead females has its following  conditions.
